Billie Eilish, Acts of Kindness

Billie Eilish continues to inspire not just through her music, but through meaningful actions that uplift communities, support sustainability, and champion dignity and compassion.

After filming the music video for the “Guess” remix with Charli XCX, Billie donated all the unworn bras and underwear from the shoot to “I Support the Girls,” a nonprofit that provides essential items to survivors of domestic violence and people experiencing homelessness. The donation, amounting to over 10,000 pieces, was intended to help recipients regain dignity and comfort through clothing.

On March 29, 2024 (anniversary of the initiative), Billie, alongside her mother Maggie Baird, helped deliver vegan meals to My Friend’s Place, a nonprofit aiding homeless youth. She was joined by fellow vegan activists Joaquin Phoenix and Rooney Mara. This marked a significant milestone for the Support + Feed initiative, which her mother founded during the COVID-19 pandemic to support both small plant-based businesses and communities facing food insecurity.

On Mother’s Day, Billie, her brother Finneas, and family members delivered vegan burritos and flowers to staff at Martin Luther King Jr. Community Hospital in South Los Angeles. This heartfelt gesture was organized through Support + Feed and was meant to thank frontline workers during the pandemic.

After devastating wildfires struck Southern California, Meghan Markle shared a video of Billie sending signed T-shirts and other merch to a 15-year-old girl whose home—and cherished Billie Eilish T-shirt—had been destroyed. It was a touching response that lifted the girl’s spirits during a traumatic time.

Billie has consistently used her platform for environmental and social good, particularly around plant-based activism and climate awareness:

Eco-Friendly Concert Initiatives: On her Happier Than Ever tour, she partnered with nonprofits like REVERB to reduce waste and carbon emissions. The tour featured eco-villages, water refill stations, plant-based catering, compostable materials, and more—demonstrating that large-scale concerts can be sustainable.

Legislation Advocacy: Alongside her mom, she lobbied on Capitol Hill for the Healthy Future Students and Earth Act, a bill proposing grants for plant-based school meal programs. She remarked that serving healthy, climate-friendly meals is vital for both youth and the planet.

Earth Day Action: She temporarily shut down her online store on Earth Day and encouraged fans to donate to environmental nonprofits instead, including Support + Feed and GRID Alternatives.

Fur-Free Fashion: Billie famously insisted that designer Oscar de la Renta avoid using fur if she were to wear their gown to the 2021 Met Gala—and the brand agreed.
