Steven Bartlett’s Acts of Kindness

Steven Bartlett is becoming very well known as a British-born self-made entrepreneur through his television appearances on “Dragon’s Den,” a TV series in which potential entrepreneurs seek funding. He is also a huge YouTube influencer through his channel Diary of a CEO. If he did nothing other than boosting public awareness of good patterns, ideas and behaviors through that channel, that would be excellent. But that’s not all he does.

Steven Bartlett’s philanthropic actions tend to focus on empowering others, whether through mentorship, providing resources, or championing causes that help communities heal and grow. If you’d like to dive deeper into any one of these stories—or explore how to get involved—just let me know!

In an episode of Dragons’ Den, Bartlett was moved by the story of Millie Flemington Claire, who suffers from cystinosis and had started a company called Human Beauty. Though he opted not to invest financially, he offered to bring her into his London office to personally teach her social media and marketing skills—an act of kindness focused on investing his time and expertise rather than capital.

Steven chose to donate all profits from The Diary of a CEO LIVE tour (spanning cities like Manchester, London, Newcastle, Dublin, and Birmingham) to charities and causes that typically lack visibility and funding. He stated the tour is something he does “for the love of it” and felt it would be more meaningful if its proceeds were directed toward impactful causes.

As an advocate for the Prince of Wales’s initiative Homewards, Bartlett accompanied Prince William on visits aimed at supporting youth homelessness prevention programs. Notably, in March 2025, they visited Aberdeen together to meet with young people and businesses involved in efforts to address homelessness.

Bartlett has also been linked with charitable causes including UNICEF, Tusk, and Soccer Aid, lending his influence and support to broader philanthropic efforts.
