Chris Pratt has visited children’s hospitals multiple times, including Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, and others in Seattle and Boston. During these visits, he has signed autographs, posed for pictures, had conversations with patients, and handed out gifts. On one occasion, he recreated his “raptor-training” scene from Jurassic World for the children.
He participated in a Super Bowl bet with fellow actor Chris Evans, which led to him visiting children’s hospitals in Seattle and Boston.
He met with a young fan named Christopher through The Children’s Dream Fund, taking him to the set of Jurassic World in Hawaii and hanging out with him in his trailer. They also went on a helicopter ride, went zip-lining, and attended a luau.
He made a surprise visit to a 16-year-old fan at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles before the premiere of Avengers: Endgame.

After Guardians of the Galaxy came out, Pratt arranged with Children’s Hospital Los Angeles to borrow his full Star-Lord costume. In 2016, Pratt quietly met with Jacob Monday, a 16-year-old with bone cancer, after Jacob’s friends helped his Instagram go viral. Pratt spent time with him, joked with him, and posted about him later to honor Jacob’s spirit. For Jacob, it wasn’t just a celebrity meeting — it was a moment of joy at a very tough time.
Co-stars (like Bryce Dallas Howard from Jurassic World) have said Pratt is the type who learns everyone’s name on set, goes out of his way to thank crew, and often organizes little gestures of appreciation, like buying meals or giving shout-outs in interviews to the “unsung” workers.
At conventions, Pratt has been spotted kneeling down to talk with shy kids dressed as Star-Lord. He lets them try on his mask or holds their hand so they feel brave enough for a photo, giving them a memory where they are the hero.
After his son Jack was born prematurely, Pratt has been open about the struggles his family faced in the NICU. Parents of other premature babies have shared that Pratt took time to comfort them, share encouragement, and sometimes write notes or messages reminding them to stay hopeful.
