Bibliography

The following keys in the text identify sources of information for the oldest portions of 500ways.com. The information typically does not appear in the original sources in the same form as in this website. For instance, if a source states that children ate three billion pounds of candy last year, in the website, you may find out how many tractor trailers full of candy children ate, based on each truck holding 40 tons.

Since much of this bibliography was collected after the original Almanac '91 - Almanac '98 series collection, many references are not recorded, or only one reference may appear when there were actually two or more. Most facts added recently have been properly referenced and recorded, often with direct links from within the listings.

Update: Many of the facts on this website can easily be checked with a quick check in your favorite search engine. In addition, many of the sources are linked so you can check facts at the originating websites. Therefore, this bibliography is no longer being kept up to date.
